Chatline

Terms of service

The terms for using Chatline. Last updated 24 October 2026.

The agreement

Who it is between
These terms are between Chatline ("we") and the business that has been given an account ("you"). Using the service means you accept them. If you accept for a company, you confirm you may bind it.
Accounts
Accounts are created by us and joined through a single-use invite link. Keep sign-in details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you add.
Plans and payment
Plans, limits and prices are as agreed with you or shown on the pricing page. Fees are due as agreed, and exceeding a plan's limits may need a plan change.

Acceptable use

You agree not to
Send spam, unsolicited bulk or unlawful messages. Harass or deceive people. Upload malware or content you have no right to. Probe, overload or bypass the service's security. Resell the service without our written agreement.
Your visitors
You are responsible for telling your visitors and customers how you use their data, and for having a legal basis, such as consent, to message them.

WhatsApp

Meta's terms apply
If you connect a WhatsApp number, you must also follow the WhatsApp Business Terms of Service, the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and the Meta Platform Terms. Meta can restrict or suspend a number, and that is outside our control.
Opt-in and templates
You may only message people who have agreed to hear from you on WhatsApp. Messages outside the customer-service window must use templates approved by Meta. Meta's per-conversation fees are charged by Meta, not by us, unless agreed otherwise.
Your connection
You authorise us to use the access you grant through Meta to send and receive messages for your number. You can remove that access at any time in your Meta business settings or by asking us to delete the inbox.

Data and privacy

Your data
Your chats and contacts remain yours. We process them only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy. Chat history is deleted after twelve months.
Ending the agreement
Either side may end it with notice. After the end, we delete the account's data within a reasonable period unless the law requires us to keep it.

Liability

The service is provided as is and we work to keep it available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. We may update these terms and will tell you by email about material changes. Questions: support@example.com.
